The dial design is obviously Glashütte Original,diamonds, as one might expect from the watch makers of some of the most immediately distinctive dials in the business, however the finish quality is clearly polished over their other chronographs in the Senator collection. This platinum version is expensive however, operating the pushers; one almost forgets how expensive it is since the sweet smoothness of the button action. The chronograph pusher action,diamond rings, as far as I'm concerned, I think it is one of the best creations there is in the industry.
While I quite appreciate the movement and its operation, I don't like the dial as a whole. Clearly no expense was spared to put out a high quality dial but the cornerstone asymmetrical display and the positioning of the subdials and date window feels awkward and unbalanced. Then again, this is what commonly strengthens Glashütte Original's handsome reputation.
The watch is quite surprising in size as well as in its weight - all because of the platinum employed for the case. Given the complexity and the material, this timepiece is amongst Glashütte Original's most luxurious in the collection. However, this watch piece as another exciting creation from the famous patek philippe maker comes with a great pedigree in the whole world of watch. With the obliviously a teutonic watch concept, I am quite sure that those watch collectors who support the Glashütte watch philosophy will extremely appreciate this new watch and treasure it very much.
