The Lower Eyre Peninsula Council is expecting growth in passenger numbers as a result of the new service and this, combined with the larger aircraft, will add pressure to the existing terminal facilities.

The council has been working with architects and engineers,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], GHD, for some time and planning is well advanced for a terminal upgrade, but mayor Julie Low said a review of the redevelopment plans would now become a high priority.
Any immediate infrastructure upgrades would be paid for by QantasLink.
