He played four seasons for the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL in which he recorded increasing point totals in each year. His best year in the WHL was in 06 when he racked up 74 points in 60 games. Otto Greule Jr The tag up offside rule allows for play to continue as long as all offside players are clear of the offensive zone simultaneously by touching the blue line and tag up prior to touching the puck or becoming involved in the play.
There have been many points of view on Vincent Jackson,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who as of lately has become a big deal to the fans of the Seattle Seahawks.
I believe that we all would welcome him with excitement to our struggling team, but we all are questioning our drafts and how it will affect us in the future. Here are my point of view on the situation and what may happen if Vincent Jackson was to become a Seahawk.
I received a comment on how we do not need Jackson because we have Williams.
My point of view are that receivers that have Jackson's talent are few and far between. Williams may be the man this year in preseason, but we have only seen him in the preseason and that are it in the past couple of years. Who knows how they will play when the defenses of other teams know the wins count, and this are not preseason any more. We will have to wait and see how Williams handles the competition.
We already know how Jackson plays when the games are for real. From what I have seen,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], if you can get a player that can make a difference in a game you better take a risk in grabbing that player.
Let's pretend this happens and Hasselbeck has Housh, Williams (hopefully they continues with his superb come back), and Jackson as receivers, with Carlson as a fourth option; sounds like a darn good receiving core to me.
Could you imagine the ease Hasselbeck would have at quarterback even if the offensive line falls apart again with four big tall receivers out there catching passes? The quarterback issue would be a thing of the past for another couple of years if all goes well. They could draft a quarterback of the future to be tutored by Hasselbeck before they finally retires.
My last article I wrote was about sacrificing a third and second round draft pick (2011 and 2012) for Jackson since the Chargers and him have fallen on such bad times with one another. This would be a great time to sacrifice some rounds without losing a first rounder for him. Losing drafts with rounds and things does not seem bad when it comes to good players as a sacrifice. Plus,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the front office can negotiate with other teams, and it seems to be something Seattle has been doing alot of lately.
They lose a third rounder for Whitehurst, then a couple of months later we trade our Jackson and get it back our third round with Detroit. Who are to say we won't do this with another player before next year's draft? Then by 2012,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who are to say we would not have a chance to get the second round draft we lost?
Let's face it: Our defense are not going to help us out much in games with good offenses. We can only hope that we can stop them here and there while our offense gets ahead on the scoreboard. Three elite receivers/one TE would help us stay in games where we would normally get blown out.
I hope that we have: Hasselbeck at QB; Washington and Forsett at RB; Housh, Williams,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Jackson, Tate, and Butler as WR's; and Carlson,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], McCoy as our TE. Jackson would be a extra bonus to this team and especially a struggling Hasselbeck.
Next year we could focus on our defense pass rushing, and secondary, along with a hopeful QB of the future so we could be on top of the West again, and with Jackson along for the ride we would at least have a chance in 2010-11. The Kelowna Rockets are a major junior ice hockey team based in Kelowna, British Columbia. The Rockets play in the Western Hockey League, out of the Canadian Hockey League. They play their home games at Prospera Place. In the past seven years,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Kelowna has competed in the Memorial Cup tournament four times, the most of any other CHL team. The Rockets captured the Memorial Cup for the first time in franchise history in 2004, coincidentally the same year they were selected to host the event. Please read related articles:
