How to add special effects to a video with free software and also recommend the once i have to buy? i want to make homemade movies and i would like to know how can i add special effects like in transformers and transformers 2 and tell me how to make robots like them in softwares i prefer free once and the once i have to buy

We may have already noticed that, there are many wonderful videos or movie online which have special video effects. Then, how to do it? How to add video effect to a video with video special effects? You probably need a Video Editor to help you add special video effects to a video with its powerful video effect.

Special Effects - in camera effects, effects done on set; things such as make-up, explosions, blood bags etc.

Visual Effects - effects done in post production; digital effects; things such as 3D, CGI, compositing, etc.

To do VFX like ones done in Michael Bay films you need a background in both 3D and Compositing. 3D to do the models and compositing to bring those models into the film world.

For 3D you actually do have a free option in Blender. Its actually a respectable choice, despite being free. It won't be easy to learn. And rendering the file out at the end can be a beast unto itself. I highly recommend looking for a local film school and taking a professional course in 3D (or like 3 or 4 courses in it).

Other 3D programs, one used more commonly in professional companies, are Autodesk Maya, Autodesk XSI (formerly Softimage XSI), 3DS Max (formerly 3D Studio Max), and Lightwave. These are all very expensive and hard to learn though.

Step 1: Load Video

Free download Video Editor to pop up the following main interface

Step 2: Common video editing effects

Hit the video of either Video A or Video B in the timeline below, click Settings on the top of the panel to pop up a Windows, click Video sub-tab to empower you adjust your video effect like Video Contrast, Video Saturation, Video Brightness, Video Hue.

Step 3: video special effects

1) add video effects Just the same way as step 2, hit the video in the timeline and click Settings to pop up a Windows, click Effect sub-tab where you can add special effect to your video. There are more than 50 video effect template choosing from three categories: Adjust, Distortion and Filter.

2) Video Transition

1’ Text, audio and image as transition

You can add text, audio or image as transition between two layer of videos (Video A and Video B).

Text Transition: Click Text on the top of the panel to drag a Text template from categories of either Simple or Ticker.

Note: Text can be customized from the aspects of Font Size, Font Style and Position etc

Image Transition: Click Image on the top of the panel to browse your computer hard disk to choose your desired image, then drag it to the first layer of video (Video A), you can either drag it before or after Video A

Audio: The same way as Image, click Audio to brose your computer hard disk to select your favourite audio files, and then drag it to Audio timeline

2’ Add best video effects

You can add special video transition effect using video transition effects.

Click Transition tab on the top of the panel to pop up a Window where you can choose your desired transition template from categories of Fade, Slide and 3D.

Step 4: Save and publish

After finish editing, hit Save and publish to save video files. Here you can change video and audio parameters such as bit rate, encoder, resolution and so on. When finish settings, click Next to save the video.
