How can I split a mp4 movie file?I have converted a MKV file to MP4 with all the correct codecs so I can play the file on my ps3. The only problem is, I need to split the 7.37gb HD mp4 into two parts so I can use a flash drive to transfer the movie. Because of the 4gb FAT32 rule I'm limited with the 8gb flash drive. I have tried doing the media server many times with no prevail, every time I try the server fails. So I have decided that the Media server option is no more...I would like to simply cut the video file into 2 or more parts using a different program. Since the video is in 1080p I dont want to convert anymore then I need to so I can keep that resolution, if there is anyway I can cut it without reconverting then thats what I'm looking for. And lastly, I would like the program thats used to please be Freeware, I dont plan on paying for a simple cutting program that I will probably use once. Thank you and I
iOrgsoft MP4 Video Editor is one of the easy to use MP4 video editing softwares for you to free edit your MP4 videos with its built-in video editing functions like video clip, video crop, video trim ,video merge, video effect, transition. Free download MP4 Editor to explore more.
Because most mkv's contain h.264 or mpeg4 video, you can convert straight from mkv to mp4 using my favorite little tool called XenonMKV. What makes it my favorite is that I needed something to do exactly what you want - convert an mkv into mp4 so my xbox360 can play it, and split the file size up for a Fat32 thumb drive. It shouldn't take more than 25 mins ish for a full length movie as it doesn't actually convert the video, just re-muxes it into mp4.
Step by step to edit mp4 files with MP4 Editor
Step 1: Load MP4 video
Free download mp4 video editor to pop up the following main interface:
Step 2: Edit MP4 video
With MP4 Editor, you can edit MP4 videos with video clip, video crop, video effect etc
Clip: Drag the video file to either Video A or Video B in the timeline, hit the video, click "Scissors" button to trim the video to whatever length you want
Step 3: Add transition to edit mp4 videos
On the bottom of the panel, there is timeline with five layers: Text, Video A, Transitions, Video B and Audio for you to add image, audio, text as transitions between videos. Besides, you can also add special transition from Transition tab on the top of the panel which can be choosing from "Fade", "Slide" and "3D" sub-tab of Transition to make more professional video
Tips: You can use zoom-in ("-") and zoom-out ("+") button in the timeline to enlarge scale size so that you can have clear visual control of each frame and precisely edit separate tracks including videos, images, audios and text
Note: Click Play button on the right of the panel you can only play the video you currently selected. Click Preview Mode, you can view all the video clips in the timeline as a whole.
Step 4: Save and publish
After finish editing, hit Save and publish to save MP4 files. Here you can change video and audio parameters such as Bit Rate, Encoder, Resolution and so on. When finish settings, click Next to save the video.
Note: Instead of edit mp4 file with video clip, video crop, video merge, video effect, video settings, MP4 Editor can also allow you edit other video files with or without converting to other video format with the built-in Video Converter.
MP4 is one of the most commonly used video format for sharing video on the Internet, is a multimedia container format that is used to store digital video and digital audio streams. If you got MP4 files to edit, you probably need a mp4 editor .
