Ryan Miller was born on 17th July 1980. He is an American ice hockey goaltender and is currently playing for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League NHL. He was selected to play for the US hockey team in the 2010 Winter Olympic Games ice hockey game in Vancouver Canada in the position of starting goaltender. Ryan Miller won a silver medal with the team and was named most valuable player of the tournament. He would win the Vezina Trophy as the best goaltender in the last NHL season. Ryan Miller is known for his hybrid style of goaltending and is also the older brother of current Detroit Red Wings winger Drew Miller. Right about this time every year you hear about things other than football that are related to the NFL: arrests of current and former NFL members,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], possible suspensions,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and maybe,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], if you're lucky,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the possibility of a trade. But as far as actual football goes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], what you're looking forward to are one thing: training camp,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and the positional battles that come with it.
The Ravens,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], for all their Super Bowl aspirations,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], do have several important positional battles that will factor into who plays during this most hopeful of seasons. The defense are a year older,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and the offense has added some toys... but ultimately some of these guys will have to step up for John Harbaugh's Ravens to go all the way in 2010. Ryan Miller was supposed to play in the 2006 Winter Olympics. He instead stayed home and served as an alternate due to a broken thumb injury sustained which sidelined him from November 2005 to the day The US Roster was announced. The Team had already had other plans for their goaltenders,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but Ryan Miller was still placed on the taxi squad. Ryan Miller was then selected as starting goalie for the US in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver Canada.
